"Taylor Swift meets a 10 yrs old cancer patient"

Swift made a fifth-grader's dream come true when finding time to meet the young fan who is battling a life with cancer.

Lauren Hacker, 10, has acute myelocytic leukemia, and her loved ones created a YouTube video set to Swift's "You Belong With Me" to urge the star to acknowledge her young, ailing fan.

They called their campaign filled with posters, cards, videos, and more "Lolo Thunder" and acknowledge she did.

On Saturday at 1 p.m., Swift stopped by Omaha's Children's Hospital & Medical Center and spent nearly an hour with the family. The child's father Phil Hacker's posted on the family's blog. She spent about an hour chatting with Lauren and played a song on the electronic piano key board that she got for her birthday."

"Taylor got out a bag of goodies for Lauren and provided autographs on notebooks, photographs, and guitar picks," Phil wrote.

Lauren Hacker's huge smile was captured in a photograph. A few days later, the family of the fifth grader was still gushing. It was a great afternoon for everyone and We're sure Lauren will remember it for many years to come.
