Justin Bieber's mum is reportedly desperate to reunite her son and his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Pattie Mallette and the popstar's management have organised behind-closed-doors
talks between the former couple in the hopes of a reconciliation, according to The Mirror.

"Selena is incredibly grounded and very mature for one so young," a source said.

"She was a superb, calming influence on Justin and didn't stand for any of his nonsense. She is also just as big a star as him which meant there was no ego with either of them.

“Selena loved being in the celebrity scene when she was with Justin, it was just a completely different level,” a source told HollywoodLife.

Bieber, who is currently in Europe on his 'Believe' tour, is said to have started speaking to Gomez again since she is also in the continent on a similar time zone promoting new movie Spring Breakers.
