It was an incredibly important game, deciding whether or not his team would make it to the quarter final of the Champions League.
The centre-back posted this snap of himself with wife Shakira and their tiny one-month-old baby Milan.
The picture was taken after the game in an empty Nou Camp stadium — a place that baby Milan will be seeing a lot more of.
Just after he was born, mum Shakira said: “Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.”Although from this pic, it looks as if the excitement of Barca’s 4-0 drubbing of AC Milan wasn’t even enough to keep the tiny tot awake.
It seems that despite being just a couple of months old, Milan is already a football fan.
As well as his Barcelona strip, Shakira was also seen toting her little boy in a Barcelona FC baby sling, complete with Gerard's number three, at a game late last month.
Following the birth of baby Milan, Shakira said in a statement: 'Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.'
